The Cocek! Brass Band is joining with the Yale Women’s Slavic Chorus for a special concert. The Boston-based brass band is on their CD Release tour across the Northeast promoting their debut album, Here Comes Shlomo. Performing all original music by trumpeter, Sam Dechenne, this ensemble features some of the area’s top brass players and improvisers and is heavily based off of Eastern-European brass band tradition.
The two ensembles played a concert near Harvard University last Spring and an instant friendship was created. This show is not one to be missed.
