A Balkan brass band who tip their hats to gypsy, klezmer and Serbian influences, band leader Sam Dechenne and company make it hard to figure out if they belong at a street party in New Orleans or a moody evening in Eastern Europe. With 4 horns and 1 percussionist included, there’s a high amount of energy involved here, though they on occasion take their time with a waltz or a thoughtful tune that makes you want to mull things over.
